Just a quick announcement to users of ant about a new project called 
Savant. This is a new sub-project of Verge (http://verge.dev.java.net) 
that adds support to ant for handling dependencies and inter-project 
relationships. Savant currently contains a full suite of ant tasks that 
handle downloading of dependencies, local caching and building local 
project dependencies. It also includes support for downloading 
dependencies from Maven style repositories.

Savant and all the other projects that are part of Verge are all open 
source under the LGPL license. You can download the latest version of 
Savant and other Verge projects from http://verge.dev.java.net and view 
the documentation at http://www.inversoft.com.

The Verge team is also looking for new developers to help extend the 
functionality of Savant and other Verge projects. We are hoping find 
developers with NetBeans, Intelli-J and Eclipse plugin experience to 
help add IDE plugin support for the Savant depedency definitions. If you
