1. delete the cachefile on the server
2. let the SERVER use the modified selector
3. transfer the cachefile to your client
4. replace the server-root-directory-name by the local-root-directory-name
   in the cachefile (the absolute file name is used as key)

Maybe implementing an alternative Cache algorithm (using relative paths)
would be useful here.

The original bug entry [1] contains a zip [2] which includes a class diagram
"cacheselector-classdiagram.png" which could be helpful here.
