Subject jsp precompilation with ant ant tomcat 5.0.19
Date Mon, 24 May 2004 12:53:48 GMT

i'm trying to add jsp page precompilatipon to my webproject using the
jspc task and the jasper compiler
from tomcat 5.0.19. after getting the classpath right (took some serious
trial-n-error time) it seems
like the task won't work at all with the compiler supplied by tomcat.

  [jasperc] error:org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unrecognized
option: -v0. Use -help for help.
  [jasperc] at org.apache.jasper.JspC.setArgs(JspC.java:307)
  [jasperc] at org.apache.jasper.JspC.main(JspC.java:231)

i guess "-v0" should mean somthing like "verbose = 0" but the compiler
doesn't understand this
argument. how do i prevent that ant passes this argument to the compiler?

the target from my build.xml file:

<target name="compile:jsp" depends="compile">
    <jspc srcdir="${dir.webapp}"
          destdir="${dir.build}"
          compiler="jasper">
       <classpath>
          <path refid="compile.class.path"/>
          <pathelement location="${build}"/>
          <path refid="jasper.class.path"/>
       </classpath>
       <include name="**/*.jsp" />
   </jspc>
</target>

thanks in advance,
alu
