Subject RE: weblogic deployment 8.1

If you do not have any service pack installed, it might be possible to fix
the problem by adding
runtimeFlags="-J-ms64m -J-mx256m"
to the wlappc task. The reason is that wlappc forks a new java process, and
its memory is set separately by the -J options. The wldeploy task has a
similar option, although I am not sure if it is set by runtimeFlags or the
option is called something else (the documentation on Bea's home page is for
SP2, so the older options are not available there).

The problem is fixed in SP1.

The details can be found at
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/notes/resolved.html#1339761

Subject: weblogic deployment 8.1

hi,

i'm using wls 8.1. and am trying to deploy (and later update) a web module
to the web server. i'm using the serverdeploy/weblogic task to deploy my
application. it seems that weblogic has a newer deployer
(weblogic.Deployer?) than this task uses. does anyone have suggestions for
deploying to weblogic 8.1 (with ant)? we're using production mode, and have
multiple servers setup, an admin, a web and an app server. thus when i copy
my beans to the deploy folder (applications folder) they're not
automatically redeployed. even if i shutdown/start the servers the beans
aren't redeployed. strange. i figure i would like to manually (through and
ant script) force deployment of the applications/ejbs.

Thanks!
~mark

i get an outofmemory error thought i have ANT_OPTS set to -Xmx256m, no help.
