Subject RE: calling another build file, changing directory
Date Mon, 23 Feb 2004 19:34:48 GMT
Hi Mark,

If you set the "dir" attr on <ant>, then Ant will set the basedir correctly for the
file it is calling into. As far as I know, setting basedir to "." doesn't do anything useful,
since you want basedir to be the directory the ant file lives in, not the directory you are
executing "ant" from.

Subject: calling another build file, changing directory

i have two ant scripts, one which calls the other. the problem is that in build.test.xml,
it's using a property of basedir = ".". this doesn't work out so nicely if the user isn't
"in" the folder the build.test.xml is in. is there a way to cd into a folder or somesuch
with the ant call?

build.xml
testing\build.test.xml

  <target name="test" description="run cactus tests">
    <ant antfile="${test.file.path}" target="${test.target}">
      <property name="buildProps" value="${deploy.properties.file.path}" />
      <property file="environment.properties" />
    </ant>
  </target>
