Jan, and all,

Can I select different properties files in different tasks and use those
properties in the whole build.xml?

Check my other mail for samples why i am doing it.

Very simple:

<property file="${os.name}.properties"/>
<property file="default.properties"/>

You shouldn´t forget the default file. Maybe the os.name is different from
