Subject AW: taskdef class cannot be found
Date Sat, 08 Nov 2003 17:11:46 GMT
Hi Michael,

this sounds like a classpath issue.

Have a look at the definition of the taskdef task in the ant manual (
http://ant.apache.org/manual/CoreTasks/taskdef.html )

You will see that the taskdef task can have a nested element <classpath/> .
this one should contain the path(s) to the jar(s) containing for instance in
this case org.apache.catalina.ant.DeployTask

Alternatively, you can set your CLASSPATH environment variable to include
all the jars which you are going to use and which are not part of the ant
distribution.

You can also copy to $ANT_HOME/lib these external jars, but then you will
soon have a jar supermarket in this directory.

Cheers,

Antoine
