Subject Re: Anyone know how to set the default C++ compiler for cpptasks?

You need to use ant 1.6Beta2 and use the <presetdef> task:

<presetdef name="my.cc">
   <cc name="bcc"/>
</presetdef>

This will create a new task "my.cc" that calls
<cc> with the name attribute set to "bcc".

<my.cc link="executable" ..>
  <compiler refid="xx"/>
</my.cc>
