so, you're SURE that you actually *installed* ant in /usr/local/src/ANT ?
i.e. the following exists:

/usr/local/src/ANT/lib/ant.jar

?
as well, probably not as essential, but you first CLASSPATH should have
$CLASSPATH preceding it as well, just incase there's a system CLASSPATH
you're missing
