I've=20always=20thought=20that=20this=20is=20a=20real=20shortcoming=20of=20=
the=20whole=20jar,
ear,=20war=20thing,=20the=20fact=20that=20you=20have=20to=20go=20through=20=
the=20entire=20build
process=20when=20you=20want=20to=20make=20even=20a=20small=20change...
As=20for=20turning=20over=20maintenance=20and=20continued=20development=20=
to=20a
client....forget=20it=20if=20they=20don't=20understand=20the=20build=20pro=
cess.
That's=20what=20ant=20is=20for=20of=20course.=20To=20ease=20this=20process=
,but=20depending=20on
which=20application=20server=20you=20are=20using=20it=20should=20be=20poss=
ible=20to=20modify
certain=20values=20from=20the=20app=20server=20console.

My=20main=20exp'=20is=20with=20Weblogic....you=20can=20modify=20all=20sort=
s=20of=20things=20in
the=20deployment=20descriptors=20from=20the=20console.

If=20you=20can't=20make=20the=20modifications=20'on=20the=20fly'=20then=20=
ant=20is=20perfect=20for
'patching'=20tasks.
It=20takes=20a=20bit=20of=20setting=20up=20but=20the=20extract,=20modify=20=
and=20rebuild=20cycle
is=20the=20only=20way=20to=20go=20as=20far=20as=20I=20can=20see.

Once=20you=20have=20it=20set=20up=20it's=20simply=20a=20case=20of=20making=
=20the=20change=20and
running=20the=20patching=20target.
