Subject Enhancing XMLProperty
Date Wed, 22 Oct 2003 14:24:31 GMT
Hi,

I'm, using the XMLProperty task to make settings in my xml configuration
file accessible for several ant targets.

Now I would like to be able to specify a 'root' element so that only a part
of the xml tree is transferred to ant properties. For example:

  <property name="myRoot" value="a2";
  <xmlproperty file="somefile.xml" root="${myRoot}" />

.. with the following xml file:

   <root-tag myattr="true">
     <inner-tag someattr="val">Text</inner-tag>
     <a2>
       <a3>
         <a4>false</a4>
       </a3>
       <a5>true</a5>
     </a2>
   </root-tag>

... results in:

   a2.a3.a4=false
   a2.a5=true

Does anybody else see a need for this enhancement?

Thanks

Sven
