<dirset dir="${basedir}" />
<include name="src/**/x.java" />
</dirset>

or 

<dirset dir="src" />
<include name="**/x.java" />
</dirset>

do not work for me, and I'm not sure that it should, since I have no
directories named x.java (the dirset is always empty).

I ended up using 

<dirset dir="src" >
<contains text="x.java" />
</dirset>
