Subject Re: Installshield issues

I'm using IS 6.3Pro, so I don't know how similar things are. I have an ipr
file, but also have stuff under File Groups, String Tables, and other
directories.. So far, I've gotten it to run compile and ISBuild. I've been
using the exec and apply tasks, for lack of anything better. However, I'm
still not sure what files it creates as a result of doing both tasks and
which ones were there before. If I knew this, I could:

* Check only those source files into our library system (which isn't CVS)
and save extract time.
* Rebuild/compile only those files that changed.
* Possibly dynamically generate files based on what the build needs.

It sounds like you're further along on these fronts than I am, so if you're
in a position to share what you've learned, I'd really appreciate it. I
don't hold myself out to be an IS guru, I've mostly gleemed stuff from there
online help and wherever else.

Regards,
Ben Pracht
