Run your ant build in verbose mode and see if you now get your stack trace :

ant -verbose ...

try also to set fork="true" for your <java/> task to see if it helps.

thanks for your answer. But,  when I try this, I get the line number in
build.xml not the line number in Blub.java:

BUILD FAILED
file: build.xml:26: java.lang.NullPointerException

> add failonerror="true"

It seems to be something strange I want. I know this happens just in very
certain situations, which I can't say what they are.

I am greatful for any further hints.
