You can also do something like this:

<ant antfile="${other_buildfile}" dir="${otherdir}" inheritAll="false"
target="called target" />

I use this in a master build file that calls other build files that are
specific to what I want.

Try <import> of Ant 1.6 (CVS).
Until 1.5 you can use XML-includes.
