Not exactly Ant specific topic.
Contract work 4 yrs ago ( source not available )

Scenario One (centralized):
 class XSLTDrone is RMI activateable client class populated on workstations within the "farm".
 A controlling server activates each of the client classes ( list of workstations ).
 Controlling server sets the client's document xslt parameters XSLTDrone.setProcParms()
 Controlling server calls XSLTDrone.Proc()

Scenario Two (distributed):
 Each workstation populated with XSLT application (XSLTAppl) connects to central DB with table
of documents to process (xslt proc
parameters record.)
 Each XSLTAppl would query for available work (status) and update appropriate record status.
 prefer this approach as workstations are added there is no central list of workstations to

Subject: distributed build target

recently I had to some very big xslt compilations. in order to speed them
up I've made a distributed build via telnet.
now I'm looking to write this in more cluster-of-workstations way.

has anyone been dealing with distributed compilations, so that we can
exchange ideas or source on that?
