Subject RE: diff task for jar's ?!
Date Fri, 29 Aug 2003 07:55:44 GMT
Do you want to "diff" jars or just compare?

I wrote a selector that computes a MD5-hashvalue for each file
and selects only those files with a different value than saved.
http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20474
Comments about that are welcome :-)

If my CVS access works (I hope tuesday ;-) I will rename that and
put it into the CVS HEAD.

Windows´ "fc" command can compare binaries ... but if there are
differences lot of unuseful stuff comes to STDOUT ...

>copy perl.zip perl2.zip
>fc perl.zip perl2.zip
Vergleichen der Dateien perl.zip und PERL2.ZIP
 FC: Keine Unterschiede gefunden

 translation:
 compare files perl.zip and perl2.zip
 FC: no differences found
