I am working in dev on the ftp task currently, but I do not have an answer
ready for you.
Are working with ant 1.6alpha or ant1.5.3 ?
Can you have a look in bugzilla tosee if there is a bug report matching your
problem (http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla)
