Subject RE: Carriage-returns in files ends up as "0D 0D 0A"
Date Mon, 28 Jul 2003 06:03:44 GMT

Hi Martin and All,

I had some of the same thoughts late last night and tried a
"load-file-binary"-task...

ftp://yelstream.org/pub/Slice%20Extension%20Set%20for%20Apache%20Ant/1.4/Sli
ce-User-Manual.pdf

Of course, loading something "binary" into a Java String.... not really one
of the greatest ideas. Will have to delete that task again.

Ended up thinking, I could just as well write, what you say now - a
dedicated and combined "do-it-all" "loadfile+replace"-task.......... A
binary one... Unless other simple solutions come up....

But it is not really a binary replace, I am trying to do, but a textual.
Hence the existing "replace" ought to do the job, I believe.

Regards,
  Morten Sabroe Mortensen

  <replace file="${src}/index.html" token="@@@" value="wombat"/>
replaces occurrences of the string "@@@" with the string "wombat", in
the
file ${src}/index.html.

There is no facility to READ from File1 and replace it into file2

This is a very simple java app which I would recommend that you write
yourself

Martin
