Subject Which is better: <jspc> or taskdefing <jasper2>?
Date Fri, 11 Jul 2003 12:47:33 GMT
Hello all.

I'm currently using the optional ant task called <jspc>
(http://ant.apache.org/manual/OptionalTasks/jspc.html) to validate/compile
my jsp code. However, looking at the Tomcat document for web application
compilation
(http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-4.1-doc/jasper-howto.html#Web%20App
lication%20Compilation), they suggest using <taskdef> to create a new target
called <jasper2>.

Has anyone gone through the pros and cons of each? Is there a difference?
As both optional.jar and tomcat are available to me, availability doesn't
affect my choices.

Thanks for your opinions.

JDG
