Subject Re: Using <sql> task to create SQLServer stored procs
Date Mon, 07 Jul 2003 08:54:22 GMT
Hi Antoine

This is really just a question about whitespace. My ant build runs without
error, fetching sql script files from VisualSourceSafe and deploying them
via an sql task. It just so happens that each script creates a stored
procedure. The stored procedures all work fine after the ant deployment -
it's just that the cr/lf's are missing when they are viewed through
Microsoft's Enterprise Manager.

So the question is 'Is it reasonable to expect these formatting characters
to be preserved' ? After following Rob's link below, it looks like there's
an attempt to do this in the source in SQLExec.java using the keepformat
attribute, but this defaults to 'false.' Not sure how to make this 'true'.

Thanks
Chris
