I think Java is a fine language=20 for many tasks, and I write in Java when it is the best tool for the=20 job. My comment was in regard to mailing list discussions. Whether there is=20 a correlation between language verbosity and programmer verbosity, I=20 don't know. I doubt I could make a case either way. However, it was=20 my observation that fewer people here seem to have an understanding=20 similar to mine of what kosher behavior on public lists consists of. I just know that when I'm catching up on the hundreds of messages from=20 the various lists I'm on, it is much easier to get to the meat of an=20 issue when replies are placed in context, thread ID headers are=20 preserved, and replies are trimmed. I was frustrated because none of=20 those conventions seem to be in effect around here. =2D --=20 Alex Russell alex@burstlib.org alex@netWindows.org alex@SecurePipe.com =2D----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+33EUoV0dQ6uSmkYRAgM1AKCIub0ydhi0J1+d3EKgXPjZjfT0qwCcDeTC /UDipxZtVrR2SP4wvOv2n08=3D =3DAG7o =2D----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: user-unsubscribe@ant.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: user-help@ant.apache.org
