Subject Target names with spaces evoke error
Date Sun, 22 Jun 2003 17:34:29 GMT
Hello everybody,

Given this simple `build.xml':

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<project basedir="./" default="Testing all" name="Cyan Jaguar">

  <target name = "Testing all">
    <echo>
      Hello
    </echo>
  </target>

</project>

   If I just invoke `ant' it echoes `Hello', as expected. However, if trying to call the target
directly with `ant "Testing all"' I get the message:

Buildfile: build.xml

BUILD FAILED
Target `Testing' does not exist in this project.

Total time: 1 second

   It seems as if no spaces in target names are recognized. I ran a pretty elaborate build.xml
file on RedHat 7.2, but since upgrading to Debian Woody (testing, `ant -version' gives `Apache
Ant version 1.5.3 compiled on April 9 2003') there seems to be an issue here.
   I just want to check out whether this is with a configuration/invocation thing or whether
I should bugger the Debian folks :-) (BTW, ant 1.4.something didn't work either)

   Thanks for your consideration,

   Christian
