Could you check which jar files are in your classpath. It happens sometimes
that jar files of third party software include some ant classes. If these
jar files are ahead of the version of ant that you want to use in the
classpath, they then take precedence.
Try to run ant -verbose. A more detailed error message will appear, and you
will see which version of ant you are actually using.
