About this JSR 175: It is intended that this JSR will be delivered as part
of the J2SETM "Tiger" release. So Ant must require JDK 1.5 on next versions
;-)

What would be the use-case (or user story!) of this particular
enhancement request?

Keep in mind that <jar>/<war>/<ear> operate on .class files to archive.
  @tags are not part of the binary class format (hurry up, JSR 175!).
So while it would be possible to do this somehow, I don't really see
the benefits.  Could you explain what good this would do?
