Subject building antidote problems
Date Thu, 17 Apr 2003 18:03:46 GMT

Hello everyone,

I am having some problems building antidote. I succesfully got the source
from cvs, placed the jaxp.jar and parser.jar file in the jre/lib/ext
directory for my jdk installation (1.3.1_07) and ran 'ant' in the directory
where the build.xml file was located. Unfortunately I receive the following
errors:

Buildfile: build.xml

main:

prepare:

build:
[javac] Compiling 166 source files to /tmp/ant-antidote/build/classes
     [javac]
/tmp/ant-antidote/src/java/org/apache/tools/ant/gui/xml/DOMNode.java:300:
cannot resolve symbol
[javac] symbol : method getNamespaceURI ()
     [javac] location : interface org.w3c.dom.Node
     [javac]         return _impl.getNamespaceURI();
     [javac] ^

This continues on for several iterations all the same type and concludes:

     [javac] 25 errors

BUILD FAILED
file: /tmp/ant-antidote/build.xml:83: Compile failed; see the compiler error
output for details.

Total time: 17 seconds.

I can't figure this out and would appreciate any help. I have verified that
the jar file that contains the dom classes is in my classpath and have
specifically tried to compile the java files that error out with the same
results.

Help,

Aaron
