Subject No class created when javac task fails
Date Tue, 15 Apr 2003 16:00:32 GMT
All,

I have the following task:
##################################################################
	<target name="compile">
		<javac destdir="${webapp.path}/WEB-INF/classes"
			optimize="off"
			debug="on" failonerror="false"
			srcdir="${webapp.path}/WEB-INF/src">
			<classpath>
				<pathelement
location="${webapp.path}/WEB-INF/classes"/>
				<fileset dir="${webapp.path}/WEB-INF/lib">
					<include name="*.jar"/>
				</fileset>
				<pathelement
location="${tomcat.home}/common/classes"/>
				<fileset dir="${tomcat.home}/common/lib">
					<include name="*.jar"/>
				</fileset>
				<pathelement
location="${tomcat.home}/shared/classes"/>
				<fileset dir="${tomcat.home}/shared/lib">
					<include name="*.jar"/>
				</fileset>
			</classpath>
			<include name="**" />
		</javac>
	</target>
##################################################################

I am trying to compile 1000+ java files (which are pre-compiled from jsp
files). However, when some java files failed to compile, NONE of the class
files were generated (for example, if 50 java files can't be compiled, the
end result is that NO class files is generated in my /classes/ folder). How
can I instruct Ant to keep the successfully compiled class files?

Thanks.

Hua
