Subject Ant RPM task broken on Redhat 8.0, 9.0?
Date Sat, 19 Apr 2003 03:48:47 GMT
Greetings,

Ant RPM task doesn't work on Redhat 8.0; Seems than is looking for rpm,
not rpmbuild.

This is my ant definition:

    <rpm specFile="${rpm}/SPECS/${specfile}" topDir="${basedir}"
cleanBuildDir="yes" removeSpec="yes" removeSource="yes" />

And this is the output:

[copy] Copying 1 file to /home/josevnz/cvs/XXX/rpm/SPECS
      [tar] Building tar:
/home/josevnz/cvs/XXXX/rpm/SOURCES/XXXX-0.0.tar.gz
      [rpm] -bb: unknown option
[rpm] Building the RPM based on the rpm/SPECS/XXX.spec file

BUILD SUCCESSFUL

My ant version:
[josevnz@localhost rpm]$ ant -version
Apache Ant version 1.5.3 compiled on April 9 2003

I'm using Redhat 8.0, Sun JDK 1.4.1_02.

Does anyone know a workaround for this? There is a bug in the ant
bugzilla database
(http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=16162) but is more
than four months old (the first posting started at 2003-01-16 but no
signs of a fix so far).

Thanks in advance,

JV.
