Hmm, a little bit more of memory for the JVM.
If you are using javac, then something like this should be possible
<javac
                debug="false"
                verbose="false"
                srcdir="${src.dir}"
                destdir="${build.dir}"
                fork="yes"
                memoryMaximumSize="1024m"
                nowarn="off">
...
</javac>

if you are using it in a different way, just tell us ;-)
