Subject javac and java differences
Date Thu, 17 Apr 2003 11:49:47 GMT
Hi all,

I wonder why the the javac task does not support the nested
<jvmarg>.
The reason is, I need it for garbage collection tuning and pass some
-XX:MaxPermSize=150m parameters.
It is not really necessary, because I can use a java task to call
com.tools.javac.Main directly from tools.jar in JDK and pass this
parameter.
So am I right that javac has no inherited stuff from java task?
Is there a special reason not to give jvmargs via javac?
Does compilerarg offer the possiblity to pass something like the above,
for the underlying JVM?

Thanks for hints and clearing,

Markus
