maybe one of these solutions may help. use an id for the properties and
create an help-property for the filter-value:

<project name=3D"bsp004" default=3D"main" basedir=3D".">

  <property name=3D"application.environment" value=3D"dev"/>
  <property name=3D"application.dev.property1" value=3D"hello"       =
id=3D"dev"/>
  <property name=3D"application.production.property1" value=3D"foo"
id=3D"production"/>

  <target name=3D"main" >
    <property name=3D"filter" refid=3D"${application.environment}"/>
    <echo>${filter}</echo>
  </target>

</project>


If you won't use a different id instead of the name, you can use the =
same
name and id for an property. but you will need a secondhelper property:

  <property name=3D"application.environment" value=3D"production"/>
  <property name=3D"application.dev.property1" value=3D"hello"
id=3D"application.dev.property1"/>

I would like to know if their is a way to do this with Ant:

build.properties file:

build.xml file:

       <filter token=3D"message" value=3D"${application.

...

Thus the property would change according to the environment target.
Is it possible?
