We use the following trick:

String className = MyClass.class.getName();
URL myClassUrl = ClassLoader.getSystemResource(className.replace('.', 
'/') + ".class");
URL jarUrl = 
((JarURLConnection)myClassUrl.openConnection()).getJarFileURL();
