There is also the ant-contrib's <if> task, although I personnaly prefer the
use of a 'depended' check target and the if attribute to do this.

By the way, for Ant developpers: are the tasks in ant-contrib supposed to be
integrated in Ant's future versions ?

Are you sure that you don't want to use <apply> and drop <uptodate>
completely.

If the answer to my question above is "yes", this is the only built-in
way.
