Just <script> it and be done with it... Or someone please write a single
multi-purpose REGEX property transformer task. --DD

PS: Yes, you could write a custom URL protocol, but most tasks assume files
instead of URLs, and that wouldn't be pretty.

It seems wasteful to write a custom task to replace
regular expressions in properties when we already have
one that works for files.  Maybe the core hackers
could say whether it would be feasible to define some
sort of pseudo-file entity whose contents would be a
property?
