Allocate more memory to the Ant VM using -Xmx512m for example. --DD

Subject: Jar problem

I'm having a problem when trying to build a large project. When the jar
target is executed by ant, I receive a java.lang.OutofMemoryError. The
machine has well over a gig of ddr ram and plenty of swap space. Is there a
way to have ant allocate more memory for jar (e.g. the maxmemory attribute
of javadoc)? Thanks in advance.
