Subject outputproperty for exec task in 1.5.1beta3
Date Thu, 11 Jul 2002 00:58:24 GMT
Hi,

     In the <exec> task, the output is not directed to the property outputproperty is
set to, if the executable returns with an error. On the other hand, if I use the out attribute
and set it to a file, the output goes to the file.
    Is there some reason why this is the behaviour?

    I am doing:

        <exec executable="run.exe" timeout="100000"
              outputproperty="log"
              dir="${files.dir}"
              failonerror="true">
        </exec>

    If run.exe takes a long time, the process is killed and nothing is assigned to "log".

Regards,
Lokesh
