here is your problem. These arent defines, these are strings added to the
compile command.

>               <compilerarg value="__UNIX__"/>
>               <compilerarg value="NO_WCHAR"/>
>               <compilerarg value="DEBUG"/>

look up in the docs how to to define stuff
