Subject followsymlinks in javac task does not work
Date Fri, 28 Jun 2002 05:01:16 GMT

I specified:

  <target name="app_only">
    <javac srcdir="${src.home}" destdir="${deploy.home}/classes"
           includes="dd/app/**"
           excludes="dd/app/WEB-INF/** "
           followsymlinks="false"
           failonerror="false"
           debug="on" optimize="off" deprecation="off">
        <classpath refid="dd.class.path"/>
    </javac>
  </target>

and get the error;
app_only:

BUILD FAILED
/scratch/paul/rel61/build.xml:156: The <javac> task doesn't support the
"followsymlinks" attribute.

I am using 1.5 beta3, and according to the documentation:
 http://jakarta.apache.org/ant/manual/CoreTasks/javac.html
 This task(mean javac) forms an implicit FileSet and supports all attributes
of <fileset> (dir becomes srcdir) as well as the nested <include>, <exclude>
and <patternset> elements.
FileSet (http://jakarta.apache.org/ant/manual/CoreTypes/fileset.html)
supports the followsymlinks tag.

Is this a bug?

Currently, I have a symlink in the WEB-INF directory that points back to the
dd/app directory,creating a circle and ant traverses the cycle until runs
out of memory.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Paul
