But <pathconvert> works for <path> <classpath> <fileset> and probably
<filelist> and <dirlist> as well in 1.5. Even though it's name would
indicate it works for <path> only. I don't see why the <property refid"" />
trick shouldn't work for the same datatypes, and be just a simpler way. --DD

I don't think it's considered a bug. From the Parameters table for
Property:

  refid   Reference to an object defined elsewhere. Only yields
          reasonable results for references to PATH like structures
          or properties.
