Subject Memory problems?
Date Thu, 16 May 2002 16:15:58 GMT
I am running multiple targets from a single one for nightly
automation with ant1.4.1. The main target calls out to other targets
which perform some large product builds, and during the last build I am
getting the following error:

[javac] Compiling 866 source files to
[javac] The system is out of resources.
[javac] Consult the following stack trace for details.
    [javac] java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
    [javac] <<no stack trace available>>

I have increased the java memory settings in ant.bat to 512M:

"%_JAVACMD%" -Xmx512M -classpath "%LOCALCLASSPATH%"
-Dant.home="%ANT_HOME%" %ANT_OPTS%
   goto end

but still get the error.
Is ant keeping data in memory between my builds, (I am calling most of
them as ant antfile=) and if so is there a way to unload this - a kind
of garbage collection?
