Subject: how to check for UNIX environment variable

I am trying to do several tasks depending on whether a
particular environment variable is set (in UNIX). How
can I best do this in ant ? I was thinking of creating
my own task wherein I will set a project property
depending on the env variable, then check this
property before running the later tasks - but I
suspect there might be an easier way...

Any suggestions will be very helpful.

Thanks,
- krishnan
