describe the usage of Ant and it's tasks are on the whole very good and obviously written
by people who care to communicate to others. But it would be very convenient to have a PDF
of the documentation gathered into a single document that could be printed or viewed in-situ.

The Doxygen [http://www.doxygen.org] documentation system supports generation
of PDFs from Javadoc comments, including a graphical class hierarchy. There
is even an Ant task for running Doxygen:

It has worked very well for me.
