Date Mon, 12 Nov 2001 20:06:05 GMT
Hi,

thank you this helped!

Now he is still increasing memory usage but at much more lower rate...
;-)
I cannot add all of the jar's to the classpath because during the build
process 2 are created und used... ;-)

Thank you! ;-)

cu,
Guenter

Yes, I added the jars I needed to the classpath in the ant shell script.

How did you solve this?
Did you use the ant classpath only?

I have encountered tis problem when stating the classpath in each task,
what
happened was that I not only got several instances of each class but
each
target loaded a new instance of the class code on a large build it
consumed
a lot of memory. (This was with the sql task)

Subject: Ant build - Solaris

Hi all,

i am trying to build a project under Solaris which worked fine under
Windows but causes extreme memory usage under Solaris.
It takes some hundred MB when compiling with Ant and if Ant is included
in cruisecontrol i reach 1 GB Memory usage without problems.
Has anyone a clue how to avoid this? Should i switch from javac usage to
jikes for example?

cu,
Guenter

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / with best regards
