In preparation for using CruiseControl, I've modified my build.xml to
add this code:

    <modificationset lastbuild="${lastGoodBuildTime}"

                     dateformat="yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss">

I'm running on a PC, accessing a CVS repository on a Unix server
that is setup for SSH access (using the :ext: mode).


First, CVS commands that I enter from the command line are
always prefixed with the password (for SSH). How do I
handle that, when running from Ant (without blowing security
by hardcoding my password)?

Second, when I run the build.xml, I get several errors....

[CVSElement] java.text.ParseException: Unparseable date:
"${lastGoodBuildTime}"
[CVSElement]    at ...
[CVSElement] Log command failed to execute succesfully
[CVSElement] java.lang.NullPointerException
[CVSElement]    at java.util.Calendar.setTime(Calendar.java:882)
[CVSElement]    ...
[CVSElement] [modificationset] Too much repository activity...sleeping
for: 30.0
 seconds.
[CVSElement] Log command failed to execute succesfully
[CVSElement] java.lang.NullPointerException
[CVSElement]    at java.util.Calendar.setTime(Calendar.java:882)
[CVSElement]    ...

BUILD FAILED

E:\Java\Sources\PathFinder\build.xml:62: No Build Necessary



Am I setting the lastbuild correctly in the modificationset?

Is that causing the null pointer exception in the logging?

Why is it saying there is too much activity in the repository, when
I'm the only one using it?


Why is it saying there is no build necessary, when I changed a source
file prior to the build (is it all because of time stamp problems)?
