While you are connecting to VSS using SS.exe or the GUI, it keeps asking many questions like 'Set this default folder etc'. Ant always seem to answer with a 'N'. What seem to you happened in your case is that there was a folder 'rules' which was removed after the VSS was labelled '1.2.3.0'. Therefore as part of label '1.2.3.0' , SS.exe was trying to retrieve 'rules' folder and since it did not find it, it asked a question whether you still want to continue and Ant replied with a 'N'. This has stopped the build process. I am not sure if this happens if the 'rules' folder was just deleted instead of 'permenantly destroyed'. Let me know if you find a solution, as I am facing a similar problem. - Siva Peter.FLYNN@sy ntegra.com To: ant-user@jakarta.apache.org cc: 09/06/01 03:36 Subject: VSSGET on 1.4 PM Please respond to ant-user The VSSGET task has suddenly stopped working. A sub-directory was removed from the Source Safe repository, and now VSSGET complains. I have a feeling its an SS.EXE problem, but it works fine when I perform the task from the Source Safe client. I had a feeling that it might be because its required for an earlier version, so I re-added the project and labelled it as the version. But this still fails. Anyone have any idea's as to why it is failing? The XML task to perform the operation is: The output is: [vssget] $/com [vssget] $/syntegra [vssget] Set D:\distribution\1.2.3.0\build\com as the default folder for the project $/com?(Y/N)N [vssget] Project $rules has been destroyed, and cannot be rebuilt. [vssget] Continue anyway?(Y/N)N BUILD FAILED Any idea's ?
