Yeah we use it for Linux & Solaris connectivity, works pretty well. 
It's desigend for remote access via a slow link, but it works on an 
internal LAN too.

I've hacked the VSS (Visual SourceSafe) tasks to work with SOS
(SourceOffSite) so that I can do automated builds including source
control from Linux or Solaris
