I haven't tried this, but after checking
    http://jakarta.apache.org/ant/manual/running.html,
couldn't you simply call Main.main()? Main is a class, and main() is a static method. Something
like

    org.apache.tools.ant.Main.main( <args> );

That's a good question and I'm sorry I don't have the answer to that.
It sounds plausible and if you do figure out a way to instantiate an
Ant Object let me know.  I haven't tried that yet.
