Subject RE: <copy> task strips permissions?

Because the <copy> task is implemented in Java and Java has limited idea
about Unix file permissions. If you want to do a Unix copy, use the <exec>
command to access the operating system's copy functionality.

Subject: <copy> task strips permissions?

I just noticed that the <copy> task seems to strip out the "x" permission
from the files it copies. Why? (1.3, on Linux, if it matters).
I now have to put a <chmod> to change the target permissions back.
