Subject re: optional.jar not always completely built
Date Thu, 22 Mar 2001 19:54:16 GMT
I understand the reasons why the optional.jar builds do not always include
everything. I think most of the confusion stems from folks expecting a
distribution to be complete (whether that's a realistic expectation is a
whole different conversation!). Perhaps a "readme" file could be generated
as part of the build which identified 1) which optional components are
included in the JAR, and 2) (more importantly) which optional components
were not included. It could also contain a message as to how to best
resolve the situation (download the standalone, build your own, etc).
