True, but Ant doesn't invoke any command line rmic utility, it invokes
the implementing compiler class directly (in the Ant VM). As long as
your JAVA_HOME points to the correct directory, Ant is going to
include JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar and this holds the compiler.

Run ant -verbose to see which CLASSPATH it actually gets invoked
with. If there are any archives of older JDKs, that could hold another
rmic implementation (a classes.zip, some Visual Cafe classes or
similar), remove them from your CLASSPATH and try again.
